Antiques and collecting have brought me a sense of wonder and excitement since I was a child. When I was young, I "collected" my grandfather's pocket watches and anything else I could find in the attic or basement that spoke to me. My grandmother was a seamstress by trade, and had boxes of old materials, prints, and catalogs from the 1950s — uncovering them from a dusty box brought so much joy.

There's an anticipation in the hunt that's electric, and when you find a piece that entrances you, few things in life bring such unlimited joy and playfulness.
